Why Start a CBD Company?

Where to begin? Why did we start Green Leaf Oils? 

It all started with the sweetest pair of Beagles you would ever meet. Ginger (Rodgers) and Grace (Kelly). Sisters in a litter of 9. We’ve had Ginger and Grace in our lives for nearly 14 years. They are getting older and unfortunately the end is near for both and with age comes health complications and anxiety. 

I wanted to find something that could give them the best quality of life in their senior years. Grace has had seizures her entire life, some mild and some so severe we would think it was the end. Her sister Ginger has had surgery for tumors, otherwise is healthy but seriously anxious when we leave the house or when planning a trip (she senses the trailer, the packing etc).

I looked around for something to help and discovered everyone was talking about CBD. After heading out to my local dispensary I found some CBD but realized an added ingredient was THC.  Definitely not something I wanted to give to my dogs. More searching and I found some tinctures that were strictly CBD.

When Grace had another seizure, we were able to put a single dropper full of CBD in her mouth and suddenly the seizure stopped. Not stopped as in she was perfectly fine, but the muscles spasm stopped suddenly and compared to the length of her prior seizures, this one ended quicker than most. Her seizures are grand mal type, all the muscles tense, her mouth opens as wide as in can go, loss of bladder control and so on. It is shocking and terrifying to see, especially when it happens to the pets you love so much.  Grace still gets seizures, but with the help of CBD we’ve been able to shorten the seizure and recovery period.

My 85-year old mother, with three major back surgeries, insomnia and neuropathy in her legs started taking CBD for her problems and is now able to sleep better, less back pain and leg pain.

My co-workers at the YMCA (where I have been teaching for over 20 years) and at my salon have complained about arthritis, knee pain and other ailments stemming from physical exertion and unnatural abuse like standing for 10 hours a day, every day, have started to use CBD and it helps them a great deal.

Taking all that I witnessed into account, from my pet beagles, to my family and friends, I realized there was something here. Something that works and that I wanted to share with rest of the world.
